Once in a great while an author grabs me by both mind and heart.
This is one of them. She is not easy to read, and so is compelling. I think a little time with her words wrapped around you will nourish you in a deep way. The following is the review gave her on Twitter:
“Patrice Janda is one of those rare writers who creates laser images and perfect metaphor. Her skill opens my heart and lets me see into it, no matter what the subject of her writing. She’s see clearly where others fear to look, and presents what she sees fiercely and with great love. I can’t get enough of her work!”

Kate has made it very clear to me that acts of kindness lead to happiness all around. She does things every day, and every one of them adds happiness to our lives. This week, while I wasn’t looking, she put vinyl plastic over most of the windows and the sliding doors in our house. It is an even cozier place now. I should have done that myself. She beat me to it. Nothing she does is just because it’s her job. Even the things we do that ARE “our job” deserve a thank you. Thanks, Kate.
Hi Kate,
I love your blog. And I did check out Patrice Janda. Can you send a link to sign up for her blog? In Googling, I could not locate a website for her, only the generic health grades type sites.
Many thanks,
Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth—Thank you for your comment–I’m a little furry about which link you are asking for. Help? Kate
